_Capable of the flash of passion of Al Pacino, the quiet contemplation
of Robert De Niro, or the vulnerability of Marlon Brando, Shaun Omaid is
one of Vancouver's greatest undiscovered talents.
Inhabiting each role he plays with complete transformation, Shaun is capable of portraying a wide range of parts from awkward nerd to mobster boss to tragic Shakespearean general. Shaun loves his craft and art and relishes the journey of the actor in donning the mask of many different characters.
Since his first drama class at the age of 13, Shaun has played on both stage and camera and has scored roles on TV series like Battlestar Galactica, Intelligence, and Human Target. He's acted across from Jackie Earle Haley, Radha Mitchell, and Steven Seagal. His stage credits include working with Headlines Theatre and its artistic director David Diamond, playing a season of Bard on the Bandstand in A Comedy of Errors, amongst many others.
In addition to being an actor, Shaun considers himself a philanthropist, writer, and philosopher. He has worked in association with Oxfam Canada to raise funds for the East Africa Crisis in 2011, is the author of numerous short stories, works of science fiction/fantasy, and screenplays. He is presently pursuing a major in Philosophy at Simon Fraser University already holding his Certificate of Liberal Arts from the same institution.
The journey for Shaun has just begun. Only time can reveal the heights to which he will reach.
